The colorless and near-colorless stones commonly described as white diamonds differ in shape, proportions and internal characteristics. The 4 Cs help us understand the stone. Our fifth C, Communication, brings your personal preferences into every decision behind the finished jewel.
Color
The normal color range is graded from D to Z by GIA. D–F is colorless and G–J is near-colorless. Lighting and the setting also influence the appearance you see.
Clarity
Clarity assesses internal and surface features. Their location and visibility matter, so we review both the grade and the appearance to the eye.
Carat weight
Carat measures weight. Stones of the same weight can look different in size because of their shape and dimensions. We consider their proportion on the hand or near the face.

We review the individual stone’s report and specifications, including whether it is natural or laboratory-grown and any disclosed treatments.
